SDR daily schedule template: blocks for calls, email and admin
An SDR day works better in blocks than in a stream of tasks. This template is an example. Change the times to suit your region and your buyers.

One example day
| Time | Block | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 08:30 to 09:00 | Plan | Pick today's accounts and read triggers |
| 09:00 to 11:00 | Call block 1 | Dials to decision makers |
| 11:00 to 11:30 | Email and LinkedIn | Follow up on calls |
| 11:30 to 12:30 | Call block 2 | Callbacks and new dials |
| 12:30 to 13:30 | Lunch | Away from the desk |
| 13:30 to 14:30 | Research | Build tomorrow's list |
| 14:30 to 16:30 | Call block 3 | Dials and booked meetings |
| 16:30 to 17:00 | CRM and handoffs | Notes for each meeting |
That gives five hours of calls. Research takes one hour. Email, CRM and handoffs take one more.
How to adapt it
- Work out the dials you need. The dials per day calculator does it from your meeting goal.
- Fit those dials into the call blocks.
- Keep the blocks fixed for a month before you change them.

Protect the call blocks
- No meetings during call blocks.
- Phone and email notifications off.
- Admin only in its own block.
Review it weekly
Check the schedule against results in the weekly 1:1. If dials are low, look for what ate the call blocks. If meetings are low with healthy dials, review the call script.

Questions
How many hours a day should an SDR spend on the phone?
It depends on the team. This template has five hours of calls, split into blocks. Start with two to four if your reps also run meetings.
When is the best time for an SDR to call?
Test early morning and late afternoon against your own connect rate.
Should an SDR research during call blocks?
No. Research before the block so the dials run without breaks.
