SDR dials per day calculator: how many calls to book your meetings
Try it: dials needed for a meeting goal
The defaults are Gong's 2024 averages. Change any number to match your team.
Use a point for decimals, for example 5.4.
It depends on your meeting goal and your rates. At Gong's 2024 averages, 10 phone meetings a month takes about 200 dials a day. At Gong's top-quartile rates it takes about 23 a day. The Bridge Group's 2025 median is 44 phone activities a day.
| Rates | Dials per meeting | Dials a month for 10 meetings | Dials a day (20 working days) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gong average: 5.4% connect, 4.6% booking | About 400 | About 4,000 | About 200 |
| Gong top quartile: 13.3% connect, 16.7% booking | About 45 | About 450 | About 23 |
The table is arithmetic from the benchmark table below. Rates vary a lot by list quality, so test your own numbers.
How the calculator works
It multiplies two rates. The connect rate is the share of dials that reach a person. The booking rate is the share of conversations that end in a meeting. Dials per meeting is one divided by both rates multiplied together.
Benchmarks to start from
| Source | Connect rate | Conversations that book | Dials per meeting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gong Labs, 2024 (300M+ calls), average rep | 5.4% | 4.6% | About 400 |
| Gong Labs, 2024, top quartile | 13.3% | 16.7% | About 45 |
| Belkins, 2025 data (175,000+ dials) | 9.9% | 4.6% of conversations (58% of connects become conversations) | About 370 |
Belkins counts conversations differently from Gong, so compare the two rows with care. The dials per meeting for Gong come from our own calculation, multiplying its two published rates. The Bridge Group's 2025 report found a median of 44 phone activities a day. Most reps do not dial 200 times a day. That gap is the point of the exercise.

What to do with the answer
- If the daily dial figure is far above your reps' pace, fix the rates first. Better data and calling windows help more than extra dials.
- Set the daily dial goal from this number, then review connect and booking rates every week.
- Count only the share of meetings that come from calls. Email and LinkedIn book the rest.
