SDR objection handling: send me an email, a competitor and no budget
Three replies come up often on SDR calls. Each has a short answer that keeps the call going or ends it politely. For "not interested", see the separate reply guide.

"Send me an email"
Often a polite way to end the call. Sometimes it is a real request.
Reply: "Happy to. So the email is useful, what is the one thing you would want it to cover?"
Then send exactly that, within the hour. Name the topic in the subject line.
"We use a competitor"
Do not criticise the other product. Ask what the buyer would change.
Reply: "That makes sense, a lot of teams do. If you could change one thing about it, what would it be?"
If the answer is nothing, thank them and ask to check back in six months. If they name a gap, offer a short call about that gap only.
"We have no budget"
Budget claims are often about timing or priority.
Reply: "Understood. When do you plan next year's spend? I can send a short note before then."
Record the date in the CRM and set a reminder.

Rules for all three
- Acknowledge first. Say "understood" before you ask.
- Ask one question. Then stop talking.
- Accept a clear second no.
Practise in the weekly 1:1
- Play one recorded call where one of these came up.
- Ask the rep to say what they would try instead.
- Role-play the new reply twice.

Questions
How should an SDR handle "send me an email"?
Agree, then ask what the email should cover. Send it within the hour.
How should an SDR respond to "we use a competitor"?
Ask what the buyer would change about it. Do not criticise the product.
Is "no budget" a final no?
Not always. Ask when budgets are set and book a follow-up before then.
